The 24th annual AP® Summer Institute at Rice University offers challenging AP professional development courses. The institute is administered by the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies and endorsed by the College Board. The Institute has grown to become one of the largest in the country and attracts teachers from across Texas, the United States and other countries.
Strong Pre-AP® courses provide students the critical foundation of skills necessary for success in secondary advanced academics and help to build a pipeline of “AP ready” students in your schools. The Rice University Pre-AP® Summer Workshops emphasize skills and strategies to increase rigor in the Pre-AP® classroom in order to prepare students for future AP® success. Content specific workshops are being offered for English, math, science and social studies.
The Rice University Academies provide experienced AP® teachers the opportunity to delve deeply into specific course content with higher education faculty and to connect to their discipline’s current work. This unique professional development model provides teachers the depth of content needed to improve their instruction and increase student achievement.
